Have my fellow Washingtonians noticed that as of late, DC has been the new destination for all things Food Network? Whether it's Bryan Voltaggio's Volt (HOW have I not yet gone there?!), Bobby Flay's up-and coming burger joint, or multiple appearances on The Best Thing I Ever Ate (such as "devil-ish eggs" from Founding Farmers), DC is finally on its way to having trendy and delicious food.
So it's no surprise that two-time Top Chef contestant Mike Isabella has a new restaurant, Graffiato, starting up next week. Isabella, a native of the area, is no stranger to the DC restaurant world. While I wasn't a big fan of Mike's food during season 1 and the first half of season 2, he was someone to watch during the second half of season 2. He truly stepped up his game, using his time off to practice...and his practice showed and payed off in a big way, making him the runner up for the season.
So guess who knows where she's going to dinner next week?
