Surely you didn't think that the fascination with zombies was a uniquely American thing, did you? Having so little to worry about that a group of people invents the fear that the undead will rise and kill us all...by eating...but they move slowly enough that really, there's not much of a threat so said group of people capitalizes on the idea with movies and books and costumes and makes a ton of money? That doesn't sound American at all.
